Collaborations between CPAAI and MGI Worldwide firms in Switzerland and Italy show how our two groups are already working together and supporting each other on VAT compliance work

With the merger of MGI Worldwide and CPAAI, members from both organisations are already starting to come together and support each other to serve their clients.

Firms from Switzerland and Italy are two of the first to engage

Swiss-based CPAAI member Florian Hanslik, from PrimeTax AG in Zurich, and Italian-based MGI Worldwide member Francesco Bartolucci, from MGI Studio Pragma, who have offices in both Fano and Rome, have been assisting with the VAT compliance obligations of the Italian branch of a global acting, US-based company.

Francesco and his team assisted on this matter by participating at a conference call with the client in question and supporting the conversation by writing a memorandum on the Italian VAT regulations.

Getting to know Francesco and Florian

Francesco Bartolucci is a very active member of MGI Worldwide, as well as Chairman of the European Coordinating Committee. On behalf of MGI Studio Pragma, he regularly attends International and European meetings and the firm, now known as MGI Studio Pragma, recently took the decision to adopt the MGI-prefix as part of their Firm name, as a demonstration of their commitment to MGI Worldwide and the global brand. 

Florian Hanslik has more than 20 years of professional experience and has been specialising in national and international indirect taxation (VAT and customs) for almost 15 years. In addition to Swiss VAT matters, his areas of expertise include European VAT law. His key activities include the support of globally active companies with both national and international transactions. Florian joined the CPA EMEA Board of Directors in September 2019 and has been instrumental in creating a Global VAT Specialist Services Group within the newly merged organisation.
