Sister law network, Mackrell International, joins us in our weekly Marketing and Communications Zoom call

Another great call was held on 30 April with many new faces joining our emerging group of Marketing, Communications and Business Development Professionals from across the MGI Worldwide with CPAAI accounting community. We were particularly pleased to also welcome colleagues from Mackrell International, our sister law network.

Set up as a platform for members to meet and interact with marketing professionals across our MGI Worldwide and CPAAI community, these weekly drop-in calls are open to all members with an interest in Marketing, Communications of Business Development. 

In last week's call participants from the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Portugal, Canada, United States and South Africa had an opportunity to introduce themselves and their firms before moving on to discuss how the current situation is affecting their firms and the difficulties they are facing.

Members support one another

It was interesting to note that whilst located in diverse geographical locations in a variety of different situations, firms are all experiencing similar challenges and concerns. “It’s really nice to get together with you all and know that we are all dealing with the same kinds of challenges,” said Lynne Mercer of H2R CPA, Pittsburgh, USA.

Coronavirus positives

One of the highlights of the call was having colleagues from Mackrell International join with us. Keith Heddle, Managing Director at Mackrell International commented, "It’s great to be cooperating like this – a definite silver lining from the Covid19 cloud." Whilst MGI Worldwide and Mackrell have enjoyed a close relationship for many years, the past weeks have seen an increase in collaboration both within the Regions and globally. Keith explained why this relationship is so valuable: "I know that across the Mackrell International network, we are family. The relationship is one of respect and trust [...] so, when we say that we have a sister accountancy network, who are just like us, it is with that same level of trust that we can refer clients to MGI firms.”
