Updating us on developments from across the North America Region, Regional Director Joe Tarasco shares news - as recorded during the 2020 Virtual Global Meeting. Whether you’re a member of the region, or would like to know what members have been up to globally, we encourage you to take a look at the video.   

Introduction to the region  

Joe begins his presentation by thanking the entire North America team, and in particular IC members Paul Rudoy and Ray Frierson, for their continued hard work and dedication as they represent the region’s almost 1500 professionals across over 50 offices. 

Initiative and events 

The North America region began 2020 with a ‘kick-off’ conference in Houston, Texas, where many MGI Worldwide and CPAAI members met for the first time and started building the strong relationships that they have today. Following this, the Region has held a series of technical webinars designed to help members in all aspects of business, including how to move forward during Covid-19.

Following the merger, the NA website, www.mgina.com has been updated to include all CPAAI colleagues and their firms. Further microsites are in the pipeline aimed at showcasing news and updates from member firms, as well as to provide a hub for thought-leadership. Joe elaborated: “We will put in a substantial investment of time and money in 2021 to take the website to another level, but we’re very happy with the results that we’re getting.”  

Marketing and online engagement  

Zoom calls are proving very popular and have enabled extensive sharing of ideas for digital and social media marketing strategies, as well as lead generation and new business initiatives. This has proved beneficial in assisting with both new member development and new client development.
