Presented live at the October Virtual Global meeting, the important update, given by Regional Director Zoltán Paksy, summarised 2020 news from across the Europe region. Whether you are a Europe-based member of MGI Worldwide CPAAI accountancy network or would simply like to know what your colleagues have been up to during this extraordinary year, the recording is available now for you to listen to.
Building a new European Region
Represented by over 2750 professionals across 31 countries, the Europe Region is represented by IC members Enrico Bressan and László Killik, who are part of a board of 14 members from MGI Worldwide and CPAAI. This new committee adopted the successful format that other regions follow and have been seeing some fantastic results since they started working together. Since first meeting in person back in February, the team has been working jointly, as what they affectionately call the “we” team - that is, no longer “them” and “us”, or “MGI” and “CPAAI”. Their aim is to promote the region and maximise the opportunities that membership brings which they have done this year via an online web application that has made it easy to keep effective lines of communication open. Zoltan elaborated:
“We designed and agreed on our purpose, value, strategy, directions, type of meetings and many more opportunities that were created as a result of the merger.”
A purpose to be proud of
The Europe Region is proud and passionate to be working towards their overall purpose, which is to ‘inspire shared values and build international connections so entrepreneurs can conquer the world’. Zoltan did add that the use of the word “conquer” should not be taken too literally!
Strategic direction
Performance within the region is measured against several key indicators, details of which can be seen in the presentation. They are strongly focused though, on how to help European members by understanding their issues and helping them find solutions, as well as sharing practical knowledge, continuing to merge the cultures effectively and being active in building business.
Online engagement
Time has been spent testing new platforms and methods of engagement. One of these, ‘Spot On’ has been organised to bring together partners to discuss management issues with their fellow MGI and CPAAI colleagues and collaborate to find solutions.
