Keen to gain insights and hear new ideas and ways of doing things, more than 80 Members in 28 countries registered for the first of our new series of Inspiring Stories Talks. Members were promised an inspirational look at what UK & Ireland Member Firm, Rickard Luckin were planning as they look towards the firm’s future, and they certainly delivered.
We were delighted to see Members joining from countries as far spreading as India and Nepal in Asia, Germany and Greece in Europe, Nairobi and Madagascar, as well as across the UK and North America.
MGI UK & Ireland Regional Coordinator, Paul Winder comments,
“It’s great seeing the openness and willingness with which Members want to share their experiences and learn from each other. There’s a lot of value to be gained during these talks to help Members feel inspired and move forward with their Firms and businesses.
"Congratulations to the team at Rickard Luckin for delivering a great presentation. Also, thank you for being the first in the series of talks by Members and for your kind words about how your journey began at one of our MGI UK & Ireland conferences.”

About this talk
In this talk, Steve Revill, Managing Director; Kate Bell, Director of HR and People Development; and Ridhi Bhatt, HR and People Development Intern, at Rickard Luckin, reveal the work that’s taken place over the last 12 months as part of their “Firm of the Future programme’ driven by the Firm's desire to improve both the Client and Employee experience, including:
- Appointing a non-accountant to the role of MD for the first time in the firm’s history
- Plans to create amazing team spaces, with agile and activity-based workplace design in mind (with some amazing photos shown of these spaces!)
- The investments made in people development and HR-related technology
- An exciting wellbeing programme putting their teams physical and mental health at the heart of post-pandemic recovery planning
Managing Director Steve Revill comments,
“It was an honour to be able to share Rickard Luckin’s story so far with a global audience of MGI Worldwide member firms. One of the many benefits of our membership of MGI Worldwide is the ability to access this international network of peers for support and inspiration – I look forward to joining (and learning from) more ‘Inspiring Stories’ from members across the world as the series develops and grows.”
Ridhi Bhatt, HR and People Development Intern, echoed these sentiments, saying,
“Many thanks to Maxine and Paul for having us on the call, we really enjoyed presenting Rickard Luckin’s story so far and touching on our various projects. I am sure this will be the start of many more ‘Inspiring Stories’ to come from MGI Worldwide firms!”
There will be more Inspiring Stories to follow, which we are certain will be just as popular and well-attended. MGI Worldwide CPAAI members can keep an eye on our website via our Global Events Calendar for details of future presentations!
