A big thank you to Daniel Haug, Jan Schmeisky and Dr Michael Grüne, from Menold Bezler who initiated the first German Auditors Working Group meeting. Held on 7 May, a total of 23 auditors from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and as far afield as Turkey, registered for this virtual event. As well as being an great opportunity to catch up with colleagues and expand professional networks, the meeting provided a platform for audit-related discussion.
Members shared their own experiences, challenges and priorities, and on a technical level, talked about some of the most widely used audit tools currently used in practice.
The participants presented the most important analysis tools used in their firm and reported on their advantages and disadvantages. Discussion was also held about the experience of exchanging data with customers.
The group agreed to continue its discussion in November 2021.
