MGI’s Sujan Kafle announced as newly elected President of ICA Nepal
Congratulations to MGI Worldwide’s Nepal-based member, CA. Sujan Kumar Kafle of Sujan Kafle & Associates as he secures the position, with unanimous support, as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal.
In his response to the announcement, Sujan expresses his gratitude acknowledging the honour of serving as the ICAN President:
“It is an honour to serve as the ICAN President and being involved in the development of the accountancy profession and CA education in Nepal and building international relationship with like-minded PAOs from all parts of the world.
The president of ICAN sits on the Board of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). My role at SAFA will hopefully be beneficial to the South Asia MGI Worldwide members.”
About ICAN Nepal
The role of ICAN is to regulate the whole accounting profession in Nepal including licencing to members, regulating chartered accountancy education and production of mid-level accountants, like accounting technicians, in Nepal.
The Presidents role is executive, leading a 17 member council, with a focus on policy-level functions, international relationship development, and other duties outlined in the Nepal Chartered Accountants Act 1997.
